Within these Walls exhibition at BSAF 22

Part of a larger narrative that explores the idealistic notion of ‘promised land’, in context of the colonisation in Australia, Estate Home exemplifies a familiar dream of ‘owning your own home’, which is increasingly out of reach for many. The work also seeks to empahasise the systematic approach of the confiscation of land and the evacuation of the natural landscape, symbolised here through the repetitive and dominant motif, of the the weatherboard.
